this evening's sky reminded me of impressionism and especially of the beautiful paintings of Mr. Claude Monet. "colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment", he said, and you can almost feel it by looking at paintings such as Water Lilies (The Clouds), Houses of Parliament, London, Sun Breaking Through Fog or The Floating Ice.

here are a couple of sketches i did at school out of complete boredom.the first one is a face half lit ( i feel the need to say that because when i drew it somebody asked me what the hell that was) ,the second one was inspired by a woman i saw on the bus, twice the same day... she was pretty old, i noticed that after she took off her hood...well the thing that drew my attention, actually, was the fact that she had really beautiful lips. she was kind of weird, also, talking to herself and being overpolite... she refused to sit down because there were people standing and had a little argument with another woman because she wanted to let the latter get off the bus first. Oh, and her eyes were a very very light shade of grayish green :)

It's been 5 days since i went to the Yamato - The Drummers of Japan show and i'm still thinking about it in amazement. I don't think i've ever been to a more complete show... Going from funny to solemn and dramatic, mixing sound, light and color, it made the public feel (that is, assuming everybody felt like i did) part of the magical world created on stage.
Besides the great number of wadaiko drums, one could listen to instruments like cymbals, gongs, flutes, koto and shamisen, played by this group of extremely talented people. Plus, as Jeremy Dennis sais, "warm, funny and irrepressible, the musicians remain enthusiastic, energetic and spectacular to the last."

NYU media research lab came up with a "simple technique that enables robust multi-touch sensing at a minimum of engineering effort and expense" as they describe it. But my only thoughts for the first 30 seconds were just "wow, totally amazing..."
